Ruins Explorer is a step-by-step ruin dive on a seven-by-eight grid: collect every relic, avoid the pits, and leave through the arch in the top-right corner. Three lives, and a pit costs one rather than ending the run.

Tips & Tricks
- 1Five relics and six pits on the first run, with pits growing by two and relics by one on each restart until there are fourteen and seven. The grid stays 56 cells, so the later runs are close to a quarter pits.
- 2A pit costs a life rather than the run, and three lives are enough to make one blind step affordable. On a 56-cell board with six pits, walking into the dark is a reasonable way to spend a life when the relic is the last one.
- 3The arch is fixed at the top-right corner and the win only fires once every relic is collected, so the corner is the end of the route rather than a place to visit early. Starting away from it and finishing there is the whole shape of a run.
- 4Stepping into the same cell twice is free, and nothing on the board moves, so the grid is a solvable map rather than a reaction test — the only pressure is the pit you cannot see until you are on it.
Frequently Asked Questions
What ends a run?
Losing all three lives to pits, or reaching the arch with every relic collected. Pits take one life each and there is no other hazard.
How many relics and pits are there?
Five relics and six pits on a seven-by-eight grid, with the pits rising by two and relics by one per restart up to fourteen and seven. The arch is always the top-right cell.
Can I play on my phone?
Yes. Tapping in a direction steps the explorer that way, and the seven-column grid leaves cells about 65 pixels wide.
