How to Play
Tap Tempo is a rhythm game: notes fall down four lanes and you tap the matching lane the instant each note lands on the glowing ring at the bottom. Timing is everything — a tap within 45 milliseconds of the beat is a Perfect, within 90 is Great, and within 140 is Good; anything later (or a missed note) is a Miss. Every Perfect and Great keeps your combo climbing and tops the health bar back up, while a Miss breaks the combo and drains it, so the skill is to stay clean. There are three original synth tracks — Neon Pulse, Pixel Rush and Sunset Drive — and three difficulties: Easy keeps it to a steady single stream, Normal adds a denser dual-lane pattern with a few held notes, and Hard throws in four-lane chords and holds for a real workout. Your best score, accuracy rating (SSS down to C), Full Combo and All Perfect badges are saved per track and difficulty on this device.

Frequently Asked Questions
What am I supposed to tap?
Tap the lane whose note is touching the glowing ring at the bottom. The ring lines up with the beat, so a tap on the beat lands a Perfect or Great.
What happens if I miss?
A missed note or a late tap is a Miss: it breaks your combo and removes a chunk of the health bar. If the bar empties, the song ends early.
How is the rating decided?
Your accuracy across the whole track maps to a rating from SSS (near-flawless) down to C, and if you finish with no Misses and no Goods you earn a Full Combo, or All Perfect if every note was a Perfect.
What are the hold notes?
Longer notes you keep the lane held through the tail. They show as extended bars and reward staying on the beat for the full duration.
Is there a best score?
Your highest score and rating are saved per track and difficulty on your device and shown on the start and results screens.
Do the tracks use real songs?
No — the music is synthesized live with the Web Audio API, which is also what drives the note timing, so the beatmap and soundtrack stay perfectly in sync.
