How to Play
FreeCell uses a standard 52-card deck dealt into 8 tableau columns. You have 4 free cells (each holds one card) and 4 foundations (one per suit). Build each foundation from Ace up to King in suit order. On the tableau, stack cards in descending rank and alternating colors. Use the free cells to park cards while you untangle the columns. Clear all four foundations to win.
The four free cells are the entire economy of the game. With all four empty you can move a run of five cards as a unit — four into the cells and one onto its destination — and with all four occupied you cannot move anything but a single card. That is why every decision is really about how many cells you have left.
Unlike Klondike, almost every FreeCell deal is solvable, so a loss is nearly always a planning mistake rather than a bad shuffle. Your move count is tracked and your best result is saved locally.

Tips & Tricks
- 1Free cells are precious — keep as many empty as possible
- 2Empty a whole column whenever you can to create maneuvering room
- 3Build foundations as soon as a safe card is available
- 4Move runs one card at a time using free cells as temporary space
- 5Four empty cells plus one empty column lets you shift a run of ten; three cells and no empty column caps you at four
- 6An empty column counts as a fifth free cell for moving purposes — prioritise clearing one over filling a foundation
- 7Because nearly every deal is winnable, a stuck position means you buried a needed card, not that the shuffle was unfair
