Ocean Catch is a browser arcade shooter set underwater. A cannon sits at the bottom of the screen while colorful fish swim across the water. Aim toward a fish and fire to catch it — larger and rarer fish award more points. Each round lasts 60 seconds; catch as many fish as you can before time runs out and try to beat your personal best. It is a pure score chase: no wagering, no prizes, no payouts — just points for fun.
There are five fish types, and the trade-off between value and speed is the whole game. Small blue fish are worth 10 but swim fastest at 0.055 per frame; the huge purple ones pay 80 but drift at half that speed. The awkward one is the gold fish: only 14 units across, worth 50, and the fastest thing on screen at 0.07 — the best payout per second if you can hit it, the worst if you cannot.
Each fish also varies its speed by ±15-25% from the base value, so the same species is never quite the same target twice.
Controls

Tips & Tricks
- 1Lead moving fish — shoot slightly ahead of them
- 2Gold and purple fish are worth the most points
- 3Keep firing — there is no shot limit
- 4Watch the timer and prioritize high-value targets late in the round
- 5Purple fish pay 80 points at half the speed of a blue one — the highest value per shot in the game if you have time to line it up
- 6Gold is the speed trap: worth 50 but moving at 0.07, faster than anything else, so only take it crossing rather than chasing
- 7Because each fish's speed is randomised by up to 25%, lead by a consistent margin rather than trying to calculate each one
